My Favorite!!!

My absolute favorite kitchen utensil/appliance is by far my KitchenAid stand mixer. I have the artisan model, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about it. The reason I love it so much is because it really makes baking convenient! Instead of dreading making something, I can throw a few things in it, and it mixes everything up for me and it's done! It's also great for making fresh whipped cream! It's an extra little touch, everyone will think you spent forever slaving over, and all it takes is a little bit of heavy cream and powdered sugar in the mixer for a few minutes. It also has a dough hook, so for those who hate to knead bread, another solution. The only thing I do wish is that I had another, I've already got my new color picked out! Another bonus, my sister says that she hates baking because it always asks for softened butter and she always forgets to set it out, then has to wait another hour. Instead stick the butter in the mixer and mix for a minute or so and the friction really softens it up, no more waiting. I also use it for making mashed potatoes as well. It just makes life that much easier. If you like to bake, it will be like Tivo, once you get it you won't be able to live without it!
